ABOUT US

Hello, from Nicky and Paul Burgess.

We are a husband and wife team with over twenty years of experience and have both achieved an NVQ3 in Childcare & Education. During our busy times we call in help from one of our assistants to ensure all children's individual needs are met. We have two grown up children, so will be able to focus all our time and attention on your children. We also have two small dogs, Millie and Maddie which the children enjoy taking on walks to the park etc. We are both OFSTED registered childminders operating from a secure home environment in Teignmouth, Devon.

We have a spacious house that includes two large rooms that we set aside during week days for childminding. This means the children have lots of space to play and have fun! and toys can be left out for the following day. Our main toy room is equipped with a variety of toys and education materials and the second room is for quiet activities such as reading and resting.

We have a large front garden which is fully enclosed and is separated from the driveway by a wooden fence. The children have access to a full range of outdoor activities all year round as we have a purpose built area for children to use whatever the weather. This also houses a large ball pit and soft play area. Beyond this we have another area which is also undercover where the children can play with water, sand etc. There is also a large area for the children to run and have fun.

We cater for children of 3 months to 12 years and offer childcare from Monday to Friday 7.30am - 6.30pm 50 weeks per year. Bank Holidays, weekends and hours outside of our normal working hours may be available upon request. We also offer local school drop off’s and pick ups where necessary, as well as full time childcare within the school holidays.

We can both offer Funded places for qualifying 2 year olds and Early Years Entitlement can be used for 3 and 4 year olds. Employer Childcare Vouchers can be accepted. It has also been an honour to have been accepted to take part in the new government initiative, providing childcare throughout the school holidays for disadvantaged families. The aim of the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is to support children to eat more healthily, be more active over the school holidays and have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition as well as be more engaged with school and other local services

We have always received good OFSTED reports. We have a solid reputation for providing a caring, safe and fun environment for children in a home surrounding offering children of all ages a variety of activities to educate, stimulate and have fun!
